Today, today, it's shipping today

Well, my fancy new sleeping bag is coming from Seattle and I'm happy to report that it's leaving today.  Yay!  I can't wait to get it, and I'm thrilled these nice guys at this little start-up gear company haven't had any earthquake-related business disruptions.  They sounded awfully grateful for my order, so I'd hate to see them suffer from a natural disaster because they have a shot at selling this gear.  They were so darn nice, after all.  If you're in the market for any outdoorsy stuff involving 800-fill-power down, I'd suggest you check out Nunatak gear.

In reference to my list of hikes that I posted yesterday, the NJ/NY trip is going to occur later this month.  I'm arranging a shuttle later this week or early next, so my fucking knee better just recover.  I also need to figure out which end of that hike I want to use to stow my car (ie don't know if I'm going NoBo or SoBo).  Or, if it comes to that, I can take a train to Bear Mountain, but I suspect that driving to the end point and shuttling to the start point is going to be a lot cheaper than the combined train fares.

My knee is OK today, thanksforasking.  Hurts, but only mildly.  Of course, I'm dosing with the ibuprofen, so one might argue it shouldn't hurt at all, but it never worked perfectly for my wrist either.

Oh, and the 100-mile wilderness trip will be around my birthday.  My transits say (via Robert Hand, who is the god of transits) that I will have Special Super Physical Powers around that time.  They will be accompanied by a need for solitude, so I figure this is perfect timing.
