Minty Ho

Today at the bank, I was waited on by one Minty Ho. That's a woman, BTW.

You know? I was going to make fun of that, but obviously this name had different meaning in the country where Ms. Ho was born, and anyone walking around the U.S. with a moniker like that...I just don't have the heart.

So, we bought the house that was the subject of the Abject House Lust entry. And there are web pages about the cluster because it's, like, historic and stuff. If I know you at all, I'd be happy to provide the link. Just write to me.

It also has an historic parking structure. Yeah, you read that right. It's been falling down for about nine years, and since it's the cluster is considered a 'fine example of the International Style' it's historic (because the cluster is and it's very integrated into it), it's going to be very expensive to fix. This has been a point of contention in the cluster for a while, and now it has been resolved.

Since the condemned structure is so close by and everyone was afraid they'd personally be paying to fix it, the prices over there have been depressed. This is good for us, obviously, because now the financing is in place and the plans are approved and that garage is coming down real soon.
