Debbi Kempton-Smith is in NY and does chart readings! Did you hear me? OK, so you don't care, but I do. I've been holding out for a loooooong time for the right professional astrologer to read my chart. SHE is the right one. She is the author of my favorite astrology book (and beleive me, I've read a lot of them): Secrets from a Stargazer's Notebook. Yeah, it's on backorder, but it's worth the wait.
Oh, and my Rio PMP300 keeps shorting out randomly. Since I rely on this to get me through all the boring exercise I do, this is a real problem. Thus, the PMP500 is another great temptation. I suppose, because of my heavy use, I could justify buying the thing...but I think I'd rather have Ms. Kempton-Smith read my chart.
OK, so there are those little temptations, but cooperatively with Tino, I've obtained a bigger one. Those of you who know me personally are aware that my Plan for World Domination includes owning lots of real estate so that I can acheive a passive income and not work (much). Tino is totally behind this idea and of course we are financially entangled, but I'm saying 'I' here because I'm really the organizer behind all of this.
Anyway, the current plan of action is for us to rent out this townhouse, live in the Front Royal house on weekends and live in a smaller place in Reston during the week instead of commuting back and forth. Now, if we do this right, we can get enough rent from the townhouse to pay for the smaller place. The problem is that we don't want anything that costs that much, we want something that costs about 50% more. We don't expect to have a problem borrowing the money or anything, it's just a bit more than I wanted to fork over. I ran all the numbers last night and we can definitely swing it.
You know there has to be a catch, right?
The house we want is now a very specific townhouse, and we're waiting for the realtor to run the comps for us so we can make an offer. The problem here is the realtor. He's nice enough, and he was the one that took the chance on us and gave us several hours of his Saturday while not knowing us from Adam. He's experienced and competent realtor, I'm sure, but we can't understand a lot of what he says due to his accent (he's Brazilian, we think, because of the spelling of his name and the fact that he speaks both Spanish and Portuguese). I feel that he deserves to be our buyer's agent for this transaction...and yet this place has such a history that I'd really rather have an olde tyme Reston realtor instead of one based out of McLean...
Oops, he just called. I had him run the comps. We will be signing a Buyer's Agency Contract with him for sure now because I want to make an offer today or tomorrow.
We both think this place is just the greatest thing and we both really want it. I just wish we were totally comfortable with this guy because we're in a position to get totally ripped off, what with the abject house lust.[1]
