Songs about Masturbation

So, I woke up today and yesterday needing to hear a particular song about masturbation.[1] I'd post it to the current thread on asg-x thread, but I can't seem to do that from here. News has gotten to the point where only a few tier-1s maintain servers.

Anyway, the song is Low Yo-Yo Stuff by Captain Beefheart. I can't link you to it either because that mp3 archive isn't publicly available right now and may never be again.

Work is getting really sucky again. I work for a start-up that seems to be taking forever to go public. It's the sort of deal where people took a below-market rate to work here, assuming that they had a good chance of really cleaning up on the stock. But there's still no stock. They used to maintain snacky food in the kitchen, but that seems to be dying off as a concept since there's really nothing there any more but the sodas[2]...and they run out of those. They used to have happy hours every other Friday. They discontinued those this summer and said they'd be re-instated in September. They weren't.

People come to these sort of companies to avoid the status quo, and pretty soon, the company sinks right down to it. It's just a regular corporate bureaucracy now. My most recent complaints about my workplace can be found here, so I won't go into those specifics again.

[1]Songs about masturbation was a frequent thread on the old asg-x newsgroup. I don't really remember why there was this fascination with the topic, but there it is. I went over to deja to look up old threads. I'm having a hard time accepting that they don't have the old archives any more. It makes me wish that I had them -- there's so much cultural reference there for our little insular group.

[2]I don't drink soda[3], so I usually drink the filtered water. Unfortunately, they've let that go too (by not changing the filter) and now all the water is too chlorinated to drink. The crowning touch is that the climate control is apparently off now and it's hot in here.

[3]The real stuff is too sweet and has more calories than enjoyment (for me at least), and I think that aspartame is poison. Yeah, I'm serious -- I really do think that. Besides, it gives me a sore throat, and it tastes nothing like sugar. But hey, saccharin went out of patent (not that it tasted like sugar), and I guess Monsanto needed to invent a new product that only they could make. Have you noticed how they have completely distanced themselves from aspartame via their new corporate structure? I could go on for days about how evil Monsanto is, but for the short story, check out this Google search for their superfund sites. And there's this one too if you're interested in seeing some of the press on the Round-Up Ready Soybean debacle.
