Starbucks Update

Starbucks sent me a letter via USPS with two coupons for free drinks, which is nice.

Their email answer to me was friendly, and the upshot of my complaint is that the drink is actually supposed to have just a couple of ice cubes bobbing around in it. How strange.

Dear Ms. Markee,

It was disappointing to read about the quality of the beverages you have received. As you know, offering premium beverages is important to us and we strive to provide our customers with quality drinks every time.

The standard iced Americano beverage is supposed tohave[sic] espresso shots and water to the top green line and then ice to the top. When I worked at the stores, a lot of customers asked for either all ice americanos or light water americanos.

As a customer service gesture, I would like to send you a couple of beverage coupons with my apologies for your experience. If you reply to this e-mail with your mailing address, I will get these right out to you.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns and improve our operations. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us at info@starbucks.com or call 1-800-23-LATTE to speak with a customer relations representative.

Sincerely,

Jessa M.

The top green line is represents about 2/3 full. If there's water to there and then 4 shots, there's very little room left for ice. I now ask for "lots of ice", and this has mixed results.

I also continually run into problems getting a decent cup of coffee at starbucks,
I was a barista at starbucks from 1990 until 1993 and I as very proud of the quality of espresso drinks we made, I used to be so proud of the fact that we had a few italian customers who that came in to get Dopios (just two naked espresso shots in a dimatasse cup) and rave about the excellent espresso,
Now adays I would NEVER dream of ordering an espresso drink at a starbucks the new automated machines are CRAP!
Blatant plug follows: I have gotten fantastic service and espresso at the flipside cafe in woodinville washington should you ever be near that town,

Thanks and much love
Keith

Just found this after several bad experiences lately... it seems to be a training problem...and I also don't wanna be like...uhhh you made the drink wrong...

thats the only thing I get there is iced venti americano and it always seems different...this morning I think the guy put *one* shot in it, the rest water, and ice... very dissapointed.
it is quite good when made right, but feel ripped off just payin 3 dollars for a glass of coffee flavored ice water...

The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.
