three things

This evening, I saw the Virginia plate BDTZMRU. Kickass. Of course I'm still bitter that I can't have Virginia plate XYZZY. Either it's already taken, or it's off-limits for some reason. Needless to say, I don't have a vanity plate yet. PLUGH just isn't as good as XYZZY. PLUGH is the more used magic word in Adventure, at least by me, but XYZZY is usually the first one a beginner player finds, therefore...well, you see. XYZZY is just cooler as a word than PLUGH.

Just yesterday, I commented that my project at work at suddenly become realistic again. As it turns out, Mercury went direct on Wednesday (that fact courtesy of Fedward). Astrology rocks.

Rumor has it that my company's ad is pretty visible. It's on during the Final Four stuff, as well as the NCAA playoffs going on right now. A coworker saw the monkey ad, and said that part of it's effectiveness is the fact that the monkey is incredibly annoying. I talked to one of the marketing folks, and he said that focus groups felt sorry for the monkey, and that he'd been made more annoying in the final cut of the commercial.
