Every year when they do their top 100 wired companies or whatever they call that survey, no one (or maybe one) company from Fairfax County is listed. There are usually a couple in Boston, but the vast majority are in California. Hello? I am continually stunned that people think all things webby come from Californina, and The Industry Standard is just maintaining that illusion.
I am stunned that an open search on "Virginia" and "Engineering Hardware/Software/Web/Other" yields ONE JOB. We have one of the hottest job markets in the country for Engineers here in Fairfax County. You know, Fairfax County, the place *most* packets traverse at some point? If this is your idea of what's available here, your job site is a total failure.
Believe it or not, I'm not trying to be rude, but maybe you should reconsider your plans for The Job Shop because at this point, Monster.com and virtually every other internet job search engine has you looking like you're asleep at the switch. Kill it or start promoting the thing, because it's not much as is.
Here, from your own article:
>>In San Francisco – the second-most wired city, following Washington, D.C., according to Scarborough Research – the average midsized home costs $759,250.
...following Washington, D.C.? Most wired city? I admit that people mix up Washington and Northern Virginia geographically, but you don't have EVEN ONE "Engineering Hardware/Software/Web/Other" in Washington D.C. either.
