P.S. I am not a crank, Part X

This morning, the Washington Post and NPR both reported that patients not treated for inhalation anthrax with Cipro die.  They were treated with Levaquin, supposedly an equivalent.  While this represents a small number of cases, it is curious enough that two scientists interviewed on the subject think it merits further study.

I will now posit that this indicates this was a U.S. weaponized strain.  We know that Saddam, at least, got his anthrax from us.  Maybe this nut did too.  Maybe this nut is Saddam.  Why am I making this leap of faith?  The first thing out of the gumbint's mouth was Cipro.  They know that's what it takes to kill their germ.  They are so concerned that they cut a deal with Bayer to buy lots of Cipro for a low price.

Anyway, this paranoid person finds it interesting that yet another thing we produced is being used against us.  I don't know that there's any question that that is our strain of anthrax killing random postal workers.  Whoever these terrorists are, they like to make our government look completely inept.

I'm not really sure they've got anything left in them though.  A friend of mine pointed out that it seems to take them a year to plan an operation, based on their past efforts.  I hope that's true, but it's hard not to think they've got sleepers over here who were smart enough to renew their viasa if they wanted to remain outside of custody after September 11.

I used to have an extensive Monsanto rant on my site.  I'm working on writing up something about them again.  It may be some time before I complete it, but you can bet my paranoid ravings on this subject will land on this page at some point.
