Apparently, I have lived here long enough to randomly run into people at bars and do impromptu dinners. That took long enough.
A former cow-orker friend accidentally stood me up for lunch on Wednesday. He's a super nice guy, so I'm sure he didn't mean it. I think he's a touch more scatterbrained than I thought. This point was proven last night when he stuck me with the bill for beers and cokes for all *his* friends at a local bar. One girl actually gave me money for her diet coke, but he didn't know that, and no one else did. I guess those folks left *him* with the bill and then he just walked on it. I had moved over to play pool with some other folks (the ones I randomly ran into). He came over to chat for a bit, and then said goodbye. We got ready to leave, and I was presented with the bill for the whole other group. D'oh.
Ed found me some mints that I like, so GO ED!. The brand is Jila, and they consist of sugar, dextrose and natural flavors. They are strong, and like Altoids (which I love but can't eat because of the meat in them) the mint outweighs the sugar, flavor and aftertaste-wise.
My hair is still the same color, but I think maybe it won't be by tonight. Also, I now can't get the Miata hand-washed and waxed today unless I do it myself. I'm not sure that I want to, because I think that the people in Herndon will do a better job anyway.
