I went on a bit of an organizing binge this weekend. The 6-hour binge was prompted by the purchase of a rolling file cart. I really like it, and it made a big difference to know where everything is. See, I keep track of bank accounts and obligations for three entities, one of which is a corporation, and I'd acquired just drifts of paper all over my office. I cleaned up all the random stuff, organized and filed all the bank statements in proper containers, organized all the corporation paperwork (going back to 1997!) and boxed it up for storage. I went through two *drawers* full of piles of paid bills and check stubs and filed those (1999 will be sent to storage as soon as I have a banker's box for it). Unfortunately, that ate up my entire Sunday. Tino caulked in the kitchen in preparation for renting the townhouse.
If you're speeding on the beltway today on the outer loop in the left lane? Baby, you're gonna get caught. The Fairfax cops are buried deeply in the brush AND at a point that's in shadow. They are gonna get someone. It might as well not be you, eh? One of the things I hate about the Beltway is that I can get up to 80 mph without seeming to go fast at all. 80 mph is an expensive ticket.
A cow-orker just informed me that a former employer is now sending employees home to work because they are out of space. It was the same way when I worked there, and I pine[1] for it every day.
