That sucking sound is Diablo II. I'm totally obsessed. Thanks, Dad. :)
My Sorceress is a now level 10, which is piddly on the grand scale of RPG gaming, but I continue to fell nasty beasties. I tried out the Barbarian and the Amazon and the Barbarian was better than the Amazon, fun wise. Some reviewers called him the "woodchipper" and that's pretty accurate (he's in the melee class, if that tells you anything). I needed some tips, and once I figured out how to fight as the Sorceress, I found her to be the most fun.
I had one of the better Christmases I've ever had, on a personal level. *Two* of my small circle of friends missed Christmas because they were in the hosipital. On that level then, it wasn't good. Interestingly, every one I talked to (friends, family) were all just couples and no additional family or anything around for the holiday. I wonder why everyone chose this year to be in private nesting mode?
It's been a good year, this 2000. I'm glad I spent it getting my act together for the end of the millenium. My finances are in better shape than they've been in in years, and I've managed to maintain my 40 lb. weightloss. I almost can't wait to backpack this spring minus that WHOLE BACKPACK full of weight I was carrying around.
I'm just stunned when I look at the pictures from my hike. Man, I was carrying some extra pounds. Mind you, I'm not skinny now, but that's a big difference, nonetheless. Now if I could just figure out what I actually want to do for money. I do fine, compensation wise, but I'm pretty bored with things as they are. I love writing code and all that, but I'm thinking about management again. On the other hand, NOT being a manager allows me to work off-site and play primadonna, which is also good...
Diablo II is also sucking the life out of my website renovations, but here's where I stopped. The AT journal part of the site represents a tremendous amount of work. Still to come are the personal profile, some stuff about sewing, leather in particular, and the journal site.
