The Constitution Is Not Quite Dead Yet (NOT ABOUT THE ELECTION)

KICK ASS!

The City of Indianapolis lost in the Supreme Court.

For those of you who don't know, the U.S. Supreme Court just ruled that a random pull-over (no probable cause) and drug search of your car is a violation of the 4th amendment.

The majority opinion was written by Sandra Day O'Connor, who claims this does not affect drunk-driving check roadblocks.

Frankly, I think that's a violation of the 4th amendment too, no matter how bad driving drunk is. If you see someone driving impaired, call the cops! I know it's old fashioned of me, but I still think that probable cause is really important and that no matter how well-meaning drunk checks are, they are a violation of your 4th amendment rights.
