I WISH My Eyes Were Shut

I finally watched Eyes Wide Shut and I have a few things to say about it.

• It was more Lynch than Kubrick. Especially that orgy party thing.

• If I heard that little piece of sparse piano music one more time I would have had to mute the TV.

• It might have been a decent story if there was any acting talent present in that movie.

• Do I even need to say how horrible Tom Cruise was? Is? Always? I should have stayed away just based on that, but Kubrick, you know?

• Nicole Kidman is stunningly beautiful. I mean that, but it would be nice if she had a gift for acting?

• Tom Cruise is the wrong guy to be Charisma Man who sucks in women like a vacuum. If Stanley Kubrick weren't dead, I'd suggest he get a clue and pick someone HOT next time.

• Why is this film presented in the TV style aspect ratio and not letter boxed? That makes NO sense to me.

• If I didn't know better, I'd say that the director must died suddenly based on that non-ending. Oh, wait...
