Back in March of '04, I wrote an entry about commonly misattributed songs. This evening, I was looking for Styx songs via LimeWire. No, I'm not going to explain why I was looking for Styx songs. I will say, however, that I bought all of their records back when I was part of the under 14 set, so I figure I've paid my fees (the same goes for Rush).

Anyway, I found that they are frequently credited with "Dream Weaver." I couldn't tell you who actually performed that song before I looked it up, but I knew it wasn't Styx. It's Gary Wright, somone of whom you've never heard, and it dates from 1975.
