Bastian/Bland VA, US 52

21.8 miles hiked between 7am (seriously!!) and 6:30pm on 4/11/2004, Easter Sunday

I talked to Shadowman and Red Beard more today, and found out that they are great guys, like most backpackers out here.

The hike today was really fun even though it rained for most of it and I got absolutely soaked. In particular, I had a blast hopping over Little Wolf Creek a dozen times and looping in and out of Rhododendron tunnels. That might have even been enhanced by rain since the pine needles underfoot smell even more fragrant in the rain.
