It would appear that I haven't had much to say this week, so I suppose I should update a bit.
Valentine's Day passed unnoticed by Tino and I both. I ordered myself the following CDs: Didjits Full Nelson Reilly, Big Star #1 record, Screaming Trees Uncle Anesthesia, and Naked Raygun Throb Throb. They are still not here and I'm very annoyed about it.
Work was generally stressful, but I put my foot down about something on Thursday, and it made me feel a bit better about things. Luckily, I mostly have to write code next week. Since writing code to produce reports is my core competency, I'm pretty happy to be doing that. I've also decided that I'm not working much tomorrow since it's a holiday.
As it turns out, I spent a lot of money on clothes this weekend. My purchases included two summer dresses, a little hooded sweater thing to go over them when I don't want my shoulders bare, a black knit sweatery thing (if I have a Bert wardrobe, this is probably my standard top), 8 pairs of cotton tights (they are really hard to find, so I bought as much as I could conceive of needing for a year), 10 pairs of cotton panties (enabling me to throw away the ones with holes. After that binge, I went on to buy more stuff from gap.com including two pairs of cotton walking shorts (desperately needed, I have none presently), a pair of low-rise chino style capri pants, a 3/4 length sleeve blouse to complete that Laura Petri outfit, a black knit top (heh, another one, see "Bert Wardrobe" above) and a black leather jacket (may not fit, might be going back). The really tragic thing is that I have a pile of stuff to return to The Gap. I've been sitting on it so long that I don't know how much money I'll actually recoup from that.
I have to go to Austin again in a week to do boring work things
God, my life is so exciting
