reorg bad

So, the company for which I work has decided to visit a reorg upon us. We are not amused.

Once, there was a man who thought a big Texas telco needed an IP network. He got the funding and built it, but then he realized that he had no idea how to run this network. A new team was brought in, and this man was exhiled to Siberia.

Now the silly telco has decided that the new team, who *has* been successful but has also upset many an apple cart, should be exhiled to Siberia and the other man should come back to his old job.

I work for one of the men on the new team. We were not exhiled to Siberia. Instead, we've all been assigned to the new old team with really no acknowledgement that our bosses have been totally fucking shafted. None of us are happy about this. Not one person in IP Engineering thinks it is a good idea to put all the IP Engineers under the Transmissions staff. The Marketing folks don't seem too keen on it either, and another guy who got things done but pissed people off has also been shafted in another reorg.

Needless to say, those of us who are the unhappiest will be 'exploring their options'.
