Turnips – Still in the fridge. I just haven’t come up with a meal to match them with. I’m sure they will be fine in there – they last a long time. I cleaned, chopped and froze the greens for later. I absolutely crave greens like this sometimes, so they *will* get eaten. Also, they take up little space.
Squash – Some was just eaten raw – sweet and delicious, and I sliced, blanched and froze one for use in a noodle-less lasagna in the future.
Garlic – Went into all kinds of stuff. It was delicious – quite mild.
Baby Bok Choy – Stir-fried with chicken. Yum Yum.
Carrots – Tino ate these and reported that they were very tasty. I ate a bite of one and they really just tasted like…more…than the California carrots we usually eat.
Chicory – Still working on this. I ate some braised, but it was still way too bitter. I think I will have to boil it to make it more palatable.
This was a small box, but the one for 7/12 made up for it!

You need to eat those Japanese turnips raw! You don’t have to peel them or anything.
I’ve tried them raw, and they are pretty decent, but boiled with butter, salt and pepper, they are out of this world.
Wait those are Japanese turnips?
I didn’t catch that at first.
